Relationships and family dynamics
The roles, rules, and loyalties a family runs on, most of them unwritten, and how they are holding up under the current strain.
Approach
Therapy with Hannah is not advice with a fee. It is a steady, collaborative practice of understanding what is happening, what it means, and how you want to meet it.
How the work unfolds
No two people move through therapy the same way, but most of the work passes through a few recognizable places.
The first sessions stay close to the present: what brought you in, what your child is doing, what home feels like right now. Nothing needs to be rehearsed.
Instead of asking what will make a behavior stop, we ask what it is accomplishing, and what fear, need, or belief might be underneath it, for your child and for you.
Relationships, family dynamics, and lived experiences leave grooves. Noticing the patterns between you and your child, and where they came from, makes new responses possible.
Self-worth, achievement, and ambition follow us into parenting. We pay attention to what this season is touching in your own story, not only in your child's.
Clarity comes from values, not pressure. The aim is a way of supporting your child that you recognize as your own.
Underneath the surface
The roles, rules, and loyalties a family runs on, most of them unwritten, and how they are holding up under the current strain.
The moments that taught you what love, safety, success, and failure mean, and how those lessons shape your responses now.
The quiet equations between being good and doing well, and what happens when a child, or a parent, stops solving them the old way.
What you actually care about, underneath what you were handed, and how to let that guide the way you show up.
A working belief
Understanding is not a detour on the way to change. It is how change begins.
In the room
Quiet, direct, and unhurried. Some sessions are practical, sorting through a decision that cannot wait. Others sit with something older that the current moment has stirred up. You will be met with real questions and honest reflection, not a worksheet or a verdict.
The goal is not certainty. It is a clearer view of what is happening and a steadier sense of how you want to respond, in words that sound like yours.
