Therapy

Therapy that starts with curiosity, not a fix

Hannah works one on one with parents of teenagers and young adults who are navigating a major transition. Sessions are collaborative, steady, and paced by you.

Who this is for

Who Hannah works with

Most people arrive in the middle of something unsettled: a child whose plans have changed, a transition that will not resolve, a relationship at home that has grown reactive.

The work is not a plan for how to fix your child. It is a place to get curious about what is happening, what it is bringing up for you, and how you want to meet it. Parents often come when advice and reassurance have stopped working, and stepping in seems to make things worse.

Individual Therapy

I work with parents of teenagers and young adults navigating a major transition. The goal is not to tell you how to parent. It is to help you understand yourself, your child, and the relationship between you.

In person or virtual

My practice is based in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago, where I offer in-person therapy for teens and adults. I also provide virtual appointments for clients who prefer telehealth. Sessions are available Monday through Friday.

Common threads

Themes that often bring people here

Major transitions

Leaving for college or coming home from it, a first job, a diagnosis, a breakup: moments when the ground shifts for your child, and for you.

Burnout and overwhelm

Watching a young adult run out of steam on a path that once looked right, and wondering how to help without taking over.

Family expectations

The spoken and unspoken hopes a family carries, and what happens when a child steps away from them.

Uncertainty and self-doubt

When neither you nor your child can see the next step clearly, and every conversation seems to make the fog thicker.

The approach

Collaborative, curious, steady

The work is grounded in understanding: the patterns in relationships and family dynamics, the formative experiences underneath them, and the values that make a response feel like your own.
